Pipedrive vs Monday.com: A Sales-Only CRM or a CRM on Your Work Platform?

By Mikhail Oskola, Founder & AI Automation Architect · October 23, 2026 · 11 min read

Checked: prices, record and deal caps, automation limits, the official integration and both import paths on 23 October 2026, against monday.com's and Pipedrive's own pricing pages, help centers and Pipedrive's Marketplace, in USD.

In monday CRM vs Pipedrive, pick Pipedrive for a high-volume sales team that can't have its automations paused mid-month. Pick monday CRM if onboarding and delivery should run in the same account as the pipeline. monday CRM is cheaper per seat, from $12 with a 3-seat minimum against Pipedrive's $14, both billed annually. Checked 23 October 2026.

Pipedrive vs monday CRM at a glance

monday CRM is cheaper per seat on every published plan, but it sells seats from 3 up and caps automations per month. Pipedrive states no seat minimum and no monthly automation quota, and caps leads and deals per seat instead. Neither has a free plan. Checked 23 October 2026.

One naming point first. monday.com sells several products. monday CRM is its sales product, with its own pricing page and plans. monday work management is a separate product with a different price list, and some teams run sales on it instead. This article compares monday CRM with Pipedrive.

Every row comes from the vendors' own pricing pages and help centers, read in a US browser, in USD, on 23 October 2026: https://monday.com/crm/pricing, https://www.pipedrive.com/en/pricing, support.monday.com and support.pipedrive.com.

What's the real difference between Pipedrive and monday CRM?

Pipedrive is a CRM built only for selling. monday CRM is built on monday's board-and-automation platform, so the work after a deal can live in the same account. The plan limits below decide how far each one goes.

Pipedrive describes itself as "a Web-based Sales CRM", and its homepage headline is "The easy and effective CRM for closing deals." Everything grows out of the deal pipeline. Extra scope comes as paid add-ons: LeadBooster, Projects, Campaigns, Web Visitors and Smart Docs.

monday calls its product "The AI-First CRM your team will love" and says it covers "pre- to post-sale". Every plan includes unlimited boards, unlimited customizable pipelines and 200+ templates.

monday's CRM page also claims that "unlike HubSpot or Pipedrive, it supports both pre- and post-sales processes on one platform." Read that as marketing. monday's own post-sale features are on Ultimate only, and Pipedrive sells a Projects add-on for work after the sale.

How much does monday CRM cost per month? And Pipedrive?

monday CRM costs $12, $17 or $28 a seat a month billed annually, or $18, $25 or $41 billed monthly, for 3 seats or more. Ultimate is priced through sales. Pipedrive costs $14 to $79 a seat billed annually and $24 to $99 billed monthly, with no seat minimum stated. Both pages read on 23 October 2026.

monday's pricing page shows a "Yearly SAVE 33%" toggle, while its FAQ says yearly billing gives an 18% discount. The card prices are what you pay, so go by those: $12 a seat billed annually against $18 billed monthly on Basic.

monday sells seats in team sizes: 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 100 and 200+. Annual plans are paid "in one upfront installment", and a yearly plan cancelled within 30 days of payment gets a prorated refund. Prices exclude tax.

Pipedrive bills per seat, with "No commitment – you can make changes anytime", and prices exclude VAT. Its add-ons are priced "Starting from": LeadBooster $32.50, Projects $16, Campaigns $13.33, Web Visitors $41 and Smart Docs $32.50. The pricing page doesn't say what billing period those cover.

The tiers pair up four to four by their place in each price list. That pairing is ours, not either vendor's.

What does a 5-person sales team pay in a year?

monday CRM costs less for five sellers at every tier with a published price. On the middle pair, the first plans with automations on both sides, monday CRM Standard is $1,020 a year and Pipedrive Growth $2,340, both billed annually. This is our arithmetic at list price, before tax, add-ons and setup work, with prices checked on 23 October 2026.

We use five sellers because our HubSpot vs Pipedrive comparison does, so the Pipedrive numbers line up. Five is also one of monday's team sizes, so nobody pays for empty seats. A team of 6 or 7 sits between monday's 5- and 10-seat sizes; check how monday bills that before you buy.

One caveat on the monday column. Its pricing page showed these per-seat prices at its default team size of 10 seats. We didn't check whether the per-seat price changes at 5 seats, so confirm the total on monday's page.

If you need email sequences, the cheapest plan that has them is monday CRM Pro at $1,680 a year and Pipedrive Growth at $2,340. Pipedrive's Campaigns add-on for email marketing is left out, because its pricing page doesn't say what period the $13.33 covers. Setup and data migration aren't in either price list.

Automation limits: monday actions per month vs Pipedrive workflows

monday CRM counts automation actions per account per month. Pipedrive counts how many automations are switched on. Different units, so don't divide one by the other. What matters is what happens at the limit: monday can pause your automations mid-month, and Pipedrive just won't let you switch on another one. Checked 23 October 2026.

monday's plans give 250 automation actions a month on Standard and 25,000 on Pro, plus the same number of integration actions. Basic lists none. Ultimate is described as "Enterprise-scale". The quota is per account, and nothing on monday's pages says more seats raise it.

An action isn't always one automation run. monday's help center says "triggering one automation template will result in using one action" for the most part, then lists exceptions. Creating an item with Status, Tag, People, Dropdown or Update columns mapped uses one action per mapped column plus one for the item. Notifying 6 board subscribers uses 6 actions, and condition steps count too. Actions used by any monday app count toward the automation limit.

The first time a Standard account hits its 250 actions, monday sends an email and carries the overrun into the next month as "actions debt". After that, it warns at 50% and 80%, and at 100% gives "a grace period of 72 hours before your automation runs will be paused." Once the month's actions are gone, the account can't edit or add automations or integrations. "Only Enterprise customers can purchase additional actions", and monday's pricing page says "Ultimate is a new name for our Enterprise tier". Below that, the fix is a bigger plan.

Pipedrive's help center says "Automations is available on Growth and higher plans." A company can have 50 active automations on Growth, 150 on Premium and 250 on Ultimate, and "Deactivated automations don't count toward this limit." Each automation can include up to ten actions. Pipedrive limits executions to "up to 10,000 executions within ten minutes" per company and states no monthly quota.

Our reading: a sales team that fires automations on every new lead, stage change and reply will feel monday Standard's 250 actions first. Pipedrive's limit is how many automations you build, not how often they run.

Email, calling and sequences

monday CRM puts email sequences and mass email on Pro, at $28 a seat. Pipedrive puts sequences on Growth, at $39 a seat, and sells email marketing as an add-on. Neither names a built-in human dialer. Checked 23 October 2026.

On monday CRM, two-way email integration with Gmail and Outlook starts on Standard. Email templates, email tracking, mass emails, Google Calendar sync and sequences start on Pro. monday's pages don't state a cap on mass email sends. Its homepage also announces monday campaigns for email campaigns from the CRM; we didn't check its price.

On Pipedrive, the Growth plan adds "Full email sync with tracking" and "Automations and nurturing sequences". Sequences are capped per company at 5 on Growth, 25 on Premium and 50 on Ultimate. Email marketing is the Campaigns add-on on every plan, from $13.33, billed by subscriber count between 1,000 and 100,000.

For calls, monday CRM lists an "Outreach caller agent", an AI agent, with up to 200 minutes on its plans and 400 on Ultimate, and an Aircall integration on Pro and Ultimate. Pipedrive's help center says "Pipedrive doesn't have a built-in calling integration" and points to Marketplace apps: CloudTalk, Kixie PowerCall and SMS, CallHippo, Aircall, Toky, JustCall and Circleloop. Its iOS and Android apps make and log calls from the phone.

After the deal closes: projects, onboarding and hand-off

Post-sale work is monday CRM's strongest case, but its ready-made features for it need Ultimate. Account management, client projects and collection tracking are ticked on Ultimate only, which is priced through sales. Checked on monday's pricing page on 23 October 2026.

Below Ultimate you build the hand-off yourself. Every monday CRM plan has unlimited boards and pipelines, so onboarding or delivery boards can sit in the same account as the sales pipeline. From Standard up, automations can do the hand-over, and each one spends actions from the monthly quota above. Which plan includes the column that links boards to each other isn't stated on the pages we read.

Pipedrive handles work after the sale with its Projects add-on, from $16 on Lite and Growth and included on Premium and Ultimate. Pipedrive's own monday.com app page suggests the other split: "Imagine you have a sales team working with Pipedrive and an aftersales team using Monday.com."

If delivery, onboarding or account work is a big part of your week, that's the case for monday CRM. If the CRM only needs to close deals, Pipedrive doesn't charge you for a platform you won't use.

Can you connect Pipedrive and monday.com instead of choosing?

Yes, but the official integration copies one way only. It's built by Pipedrive, and it creates a monday item when a new deal, person, organization or activity is added in Pipedrive. Later changes don't follow, and nothing flows back. Checked on both help centers and Pipedrive's Marketplace on 23 October 2026.

The app is listed in Pipedrive's Marketplace as "monday.com · by Pipedrive", and monday's help article for it sends you to Pipedrive's support page. It has four templates, one for each new record type. Pipedrive's support article says: "The sync between monday.com and Pipedrive will go one-way, from Pipedrive to Monday." Its app page adds that an item "will not be automatically updated when changes are made to the original, and changes in Monday.com will not sync back to Pipedrive."

What comes across: on deals, the organization, contact person, stage, status, value and owner; on people, organization, name, email, phone and owner; on organizations, name and owner; on activities, type, subject, duration, due date, linked deal, person, organization and owner.

Neither article says which monday plan the integration needs. monday's pricing matrix ticks "Integrations" on Pro and Ultimate, while its help center gives Standard 250 integration actions a month. Every synced item uses actions from that quota.

Keeping later changes in step takes more than the template. monday's workflow builder, on higher plans according to its help center, has Pipedrive blocks such as "Update deal stage" and "Create deal", which write back into Pipedrive. We haven't tested them. The other route is a general automation tool; our Make vs n8n vs Zapier comparison covers how each one bills.

Moving from Pipedrive to monday CRM, or back

Neither vendor ships an importer for the other. Going either way, you export a spreadsheet, import it and rebuild the rest. Checked on both help centers on 23 October 2026.

Pipedrive to monday CRM: monday's lead-import article covers Excel import from a board's "Import items" option and names no Pipedrive importer. For Pipedrive it points to the integration, which only creates items for new records. Your existing deals, people and organizations come across through a file.

monday CRM to Pipedrive: Pipedrive imports from other CRMs through a partner, Import2, and monday.com isn't on Import2's list of sources. That leaves Pipedrive's spreadsheet import, from a monday board exported to Excel or CSV.

Neither vendor says email history or automations can be imported. Plan to rebuild pipelines, automations and email templates by hand. Before you move, read what breaks in a CRM migration.

Pipedrive or monday CRM: which one to choose

Choose Pipedrive if your team mostly sells, runs a lot of automated follow-up, and doesn't want automations paused at a monthly cap. Choose monday CRM if you want the lower per-seat price and the work after the sale on the same platform, and you've checked which plan that work needs.

Retailbox builds sales CRMs on Monday.com and also does platform-agnostic CRM selection across HubSpot, Monday.com, Zoho, and Pipedrive. If you're still choosing, our CRM consulting page explains how that selection works.

  • Choose Pipedrive for a busy outbound team. Its automations aren't metered per month, sequences start on Growth, and its help center names seven calling apps from its Marketplace.
  • Choose Pipedrive Lite for one or two sellers on a tight budget. monday CRM sells from 3 seats, so its smallest Basic plan is $36 a month billed annually.
  • Choose monday CRM on price. Five sellers pay $1,020 a year on Standard against $2,340 on Pipedrive Growth, billed annually.
  • Choose monday CRM if you want sequences for less. They start on Pro at $28 a seat, against Pipedrive Growth at $39.
  • Choose monday CRM if onboarding or delivery boards should sit next to the pipeline. Budget for Ultimate if you want monday's ready-made client projects and collection tracking.
  • Running both? The official integration copies new Pipedrive records into monday one way. Anything beyond that needs workflow-builder blocks or an automation tool.

Can monday.com replace Pipedrive as a CRM?+

Yes. monday CRM has pipelines, contacts and deals on every plan and email sequences from Pro, so it can do Pipedrive's job. Does monday CRM integrate with Pipedrive?+

Yes, through an integration Pipedrive built. It creates a monday CRM item when a new deal, person, organization or activity is added in Pipedrive, one way only: later edits don't follow and nothing syncs back. Every synced item uses monday's monthly integration actions. Neither vendor's article says which monday plan it needs.

Pipedrive, in our reading. Its automations are capped by how many you switch on, not by monthly runs, so a busy month won't pause them.
